BYU Marriott Visits Farmfront Group

From business strategy to the factory floor: students from Brigham Young University explored the production departments behind Farmfront's irrigation technologies.

On October 9, Farmfront Group welcomed students from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University (BYU) for a visit to its production facilities in Italy.

Accompanied by Professor Jeff Dyer, Horace Beesley Distinguished Professor of Strategy at BYU, the group had the opportunity to discover the industrial processes, expertise and people behind the technologies developed by Farmfront's brands.

The visit included the production departments where OCMIS, IRTEC and MARANI hose-reel irrigation machines are manufactured, as well as the areas dedicated to SCOVA Engineering motor pumps.

Moving through the different departments, students could gain a closer understanding of how industrial activities translate technical knowledge and design into equipment for agricultural applications.

For Farmfront, welcoming students and academic institutions is also an opportunity to share the realities of industrial manufacturing with future business professionals.

Seeing production firsthand offers a practical perspective on the organisation, coordination and expertise required to bring complex products to market.

The visit also continues a relationship that has brought BYU students to Farmfront's facilities over the years, creating opportunities to connect academic perspectives with the experience of an international industrial group.

Farmfront Group thanks Professor Dyer and all the students for their visit and the opportunity to share its work, people and technologies.
