A meeting in Rome between AfDB President Sidi Ould Tah, Italian institutions and companies from Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo focused on investments, infrastructure and industrial cooperation across the African continent.
Farmfront took part in a restricted meeting held in Rome between the President of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), Sidi Ould Tah, and several companies associated with Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo. Representing the group was Andrea Pellanda, Farmfront’s Group CFO. The discussion focused on financial development, industrial cooperation, infrastructure, energy transition and sustainable investments in Africa.
The priorities of the African Development Bank
During the meeting, President Tah presented the priorities of his mandate, aimed at mobilising large-scale capital, strengthening Africa’s financial architecture and supporting the continent’s industrialisation process by enhancing local resources and production value chains.
Representatives of Italian institutions also contributed to the discussion, presenting financial instruments activated under the Mattei Plan to support strategic projects in Africa, involving organisations such as CDP, SIMEST and SACE.
Farmfront’s international role
Participation in this dialogue confirms Farmfront’s international commitment. The group brings together companies and brands specialising in agricultural irrigation technologies and efficient water management, with an established presence in major agricultural markets worldwide.
In a global context where the sustainable management of water resources is becoming increasingly central to agricultural productivity, the group continues to develop solutions and partnerships aimed at making agriculture more resilient and sustainable.
